Update on Microwave Gun
We tested the magnetron today and had some interesting, if disappointing, results. The square-cube law worked against us, however, and we will need to focus the beam into a very small point in order to make it work the way we want. While testing the device, I made an origami cube and cut off the bottom, then wet it to see if the magnetron would dry it quickly. It didn't, so I reached out to grab the cube, forgetting that there was still water on it. Needless to say, it made a loud pop and hurt me very badly. For a minute afterwards, my chest was tightened. It sucked, but I was glad to have learned the lesson. We are getting the materials for the mount prepared and will soon have it assembled in its full glory.

Welcome/Microwave gun
This is a blog about things that I will make, and will be updated as I do them. Currently, my friends and I are making a microwave gun. We have the main parts set up and have only to put them in the proper container. We will be placing the magnetron in front of a parabolic mirror, so that some of the rays will be projected straight ahead, with a focusing tube that will extend so as to stabilize the rest of the rays. It will then be capped with an adjustable lens, so that the user can focus the beam further. It will be great, should none of us die in the process of making it. I will post pictures as it comes along, and hopefully get a video so that you can see the fruits of my labor. It will not be done for a while, maybe two weeks, so come back in a while and check it out. Thank you and see you then.
